Preview: King Living at Denfair Melbourne 2019

Here’s what you can expect to see from King Living at Denfair Melbourne 2019. In a relatively short space of time, Denfair has become one of the most important events on the Australian design industry calendar, with many brands using the three-day fair as a focal point for new product releases.

This year, King Living will be launching four new products to market: the ETO table range by Tom Fereday, the LUNA chair by Charles Wilson, and the Max sofa and Strata II sofa, both designed by King Living’s in-house design team.

As is often the case, we say “four products” but it’s actually quite a few more than that. Tom Fereday’s ETO table range, for example, includes a desk in three variations, a rectangular dining table in two sizes, a round dining table in two sizes and an occasional table in two sizes.

And while each of these features the distinctive ETO frame and legs in anthracite aluminium frame, they come with a selection of natural timber tabletops, as well as powered lighting and device-charging accessories for the desk variations. That’s just “one” of the new products!

The Luna chair, the latest of King Living’s collaborations with designer Charles Wilson, features a bent steel base and moulded seat. It doesn’t come in as many variations as the ETO range, unless you include the myriad leather and fabric upholstery options that are available.

The same goes for the modular Max sofa, with its soft feather-topped seats and adjustable-depth back cushions, and the Strata II sofa, which adds options for motorised adjustable depth to the original Strata design.

See King Living’s new lighting and rug collections. Many architects and designers will have seen images of the brand new King Living lighting and rug collections, but at Denfair they’ll have a chance to see them up close, and better understand what effect they might have on an interior space. King Living will have two stands fully fitted out as living areas, bedrooms and outdoor rooms, each featuring lighting and rugs, as well as selections from across their product range.

Denfair Melbourne 2019 runs from 20-22 June 2019 at Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. You can visit King Living at stands 606 and 706.
