Outdoor Dining Chairs FAQs

Expand All
  • Can I leave my garden chairs outside all year round?

Yes, good quality garden chairs can be left outside year-round, provided they have frames made with weather-resistant materials like teak, ceramic, and  powder-coated aluminium or steel. Ensure any seat cushions and covers are made from high-performance outdoor fabrics like those in the King Living Collection, which are engineered for protection against the elements.

However, to extend longevity, we recommend storing removable covers during prolonged wet periods or colder months, especially in shaded gardens or uncovered decks. We recommend using protective WeatherGuard covers when your outdoor furniture is not in use and to clean surfaces regularly to preserve the condition.

  • How do I clean and maintain my outdoor dining chairs?

Routine cleaning preserves the beauty and longevity of your outdoor chairs.  Simply brush off loose debris, then wipe with a soft cloth and mild cleaners from our King-Care™ Kits.  Avoid abrasive products that may damage finishes and if you’re unsure, always test an inconspicuous area first. Cushions with removable covers can be gently hand-washed or machine washed depending on the specific fabric care instructions.

For full guidance on how to protect high-performance outdoor materials from mould, mildew or rust caused by weather, read our article on outdoor furniture care, or explore our product care advice for all maintenance tips.

  • Are King Living outdoor chairs protected with a warranty?

Yes, King Living Outdoor Dining Chairs are backed by warranties of different lengths, depending on the steel or aluminium frame, powder coating finish, and fabric. All warranty details for our designs can be found here

For more information, read our guide to understanding furniture warranties.

  • How do I replace deck chair cushions or fabric?

King Living cushion covers are individually tailored and can be easily removed for cleaning or replaced for a fresh new seasonal look.

Each cover is fitted with hidden Velcro or concealed zips placed to provide effortless access to each cover. By unzipping the covers, you can remove them from the chair.

As you remove each cover, you’ll notice a personalised label known as the King Legacy Tag. This special tag serves as a unique identifier, featuring your name, order number, and part number. These details are essential if you need to order new sofa covers, helping our dedicated King-Care™ team identify the specific covers you require.

Our King Care™ team is always available to help with recovering and maintenance services. While the full King Care™ service is currently exclusive to Australia, we offer removable covers worldwide and have service technicians in all markets who can assist with in-home cover replacement.
