King Living celebrates global recognition with five major design awards in 2025
2025 has marked a defining chapter in the King Living design journey. This year, we were honoured with five prestigious international awards across two of the world’s most respected design competitions: the Red Dot Design Awards and the iF DESIGN AWARDS.
We are thrilled to be awarded three Red Dot Design Awards for the King Cinema Recliner, Haven Sofa, and 1978 High Back Sofa. And, in our first-ever submission to the iF DESIGN AWARD, we received two wins—for the Plateau Outdoor Sofa and the 1978 High Back Sofa.
“These designs are a reflection of how people live today,” said David King. “We have incorporated modularity and customisation options to enable each design to evolve with its user as their lifestyle changes over the years. Our sofas are crafted to last a lifetime”.
Celebrated on the world stage
These international awards come at a time of exciting growth. As we expand our global footprint, it’s rewarding to see the King Living design philosophy resonate with audiences across continents.
The Red Dot Awards are one of the world’s most renowned design competitions. With entries submitted from over 60 countries each year, a Red Dot is a mark of outstanding international design quality. Both the Haven Sofa and 1978 High Back sofa are also set to be displayed at the Red Dot Museum in Essen this year, which features more than 2,000 exhibits, making it the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary design.
Recognised globally for design excellence in aesthetics, usability, and sustainability, the iF DESIGN AWARDS is judged by a jury of 131 independent experts from 23 countries. With nearly 11,000 entries received from 72 nations, the competition is a benchmark for exceptional design on the global stage.
“While design recognition isn’t our primary goal, it’s a meaningful moment to see the dedication of our in-house design team celebrated on the global stage,” shared Founder David King.
