Design evolution
Over the years, Jasper has been built to create a truly customised experience.
From wireless charge tables, reading lights and speakers to side tables, bookshelves, and a media console – every lifestyle requirement is met.
For Founder David King, continual improvement is part of the KING brand ethos.
“We're not satisfied just to make a design and move on. We work on that design over the years, and we improve it. We get feedback from our customers,” David explains.
“The Jasper Sofas we're making today are the best we've ever made, and they are the result of our philosophy of evolving designs and improving.”
One aspect of the King Living design principles that ensures ongoing visual relevance is the choice to remove unnecessary elements.
“Part of our design philosophy is not to add unnecessary ornamentation. Jasper is a great example of this, where it has very clean architectural lines and still looks fresh and modern today.”
Jasper has evolved through the ages with new technology and design innovations to achieve new heights of luxury and function, and transformations have not finished yet.
The Jasper Curve series
Released for Jasper's 20th Anniversary, the Jasper Curve Sofa series features a beautifully rounded curve module, bringing impact to the original design while retaining unmatched comfort.
Beautiful from all angles, the curved corner module features a perfectly rounded backrest that combines with existing Jasper modular components.
“The curve module is particularly impactful when Jasper is arranged in the middle of an open-plan room. From the back, the beautiful contours really come alive and create gentle angles,” David explains.
The current wireless charging timber shelving has been upgraded to include Light-Charge technology. The optional Light-Charge feature creates a subtle ambience with touch-operated LED lighting while offering convenient smartphone charging.
“The undershelf lighting can be used in conjunction with a Lume or Aura Light, which are compatible with Smart Jasper Curve designs. This gives multi-directional lighting for optimum ambience on those beautiful nights we spend with family and friends.”
Also new in 2023 was the addition of the Premium Firm seat cushion option to allow for greater comfort customisation. Jasper customers can now select from Feather, Memory Foam and the new Premium Firm to create personalised comfort that best suits their preferences

The Jasper Coast Sofa
A new chapter in Jasper’s legacy was the Jasper Coast Sofa.
A refined evolution of the multi-award-winning Jasper, Jasper Coast captures the relaxed elegance of coastal living while preserving the versatility that defines the original. Defined by deep seating and luxurious comfort, Jasper Coast is a truly modular design that offers complete customisation.
David shares, “With Jasper Coast, we have taken the legendary design that Australia fell in love with and reimagined it in a relaxed new aesthetic.”

Sustainability story
Comfort and beautiful aesthetics come with every design. But it’s the built in quality and ability to recover, repair and refurbish that truly makes Jasper timeless.
Like all King Living designs, every module and every cushion on a Jasper Sofa has removable covers. New covers in your choice of fabric or leather can be delivered and, in most cases, refitted in your home.
The ability to repair and refurbish interior parts is also possible thanks to our in-house KING Care team.
Every aspect of product design is considered an opportunity to create furniture that stands the test of time, rather than ending up in landfill.
“Because we have full control over our products, we can ensure the designs are sustainable, the components we’re using are recyclable and that the furniture will last,” David shares.
Flexible living with modular sofa design

Home life was once about living in the same family house for a lifetime and renting wasn’t commonplace. We are now on the move and our furniture needs to adapt with us.
“We design our furniture to be flexible. If you move to a larger living space, you don't have to buy new furniture. King furniture will change and adapt to your lifestyle,” David shares.
